Stakeholder Advisory Committees: The Stakeholder Advisory Committees will be finalized to ensure broad and representative participation from key stakeholders. Members will contribute expert input on technical, policy, regulatory, and community engagement matters. They will attend quarterly and occasional special meetings, and provide feedback to help shape project strategies. Compensation may be offered based on the member’s level of involvement and expertise.
Stakeholder Engagement
Coordination with Navajo Nation on FERC Licensing Activities: The project team will work closely with Navajo Nation agencies to complete Historical and Cultural Site Surveys, related reports, and first-year Fish, Wildlife, and Fauna Studies, potentially through a designated project liaison.
Analysis of Infrastructure Improvement Impacts: The team will collaborate with the Navajo Nation to assess the impacts and opportunities of planned electrical and water infrastructure upgrades, focusing on improving reliability and service in underserved areas.
Workforce Development and Training Outreach: The project will host informational meetings, training sessions, and networking events for local residents and institutions, emphasizing career readiness, skills development, and fair labor standards in the energy sector.
Local Office Space for Engagement and Collaboration: Office space will be established to facilitate in-person engagement with Navajo Nation stakeholders, host project staff and students, and provide workspace for visiting DOE representatives.
